Riders will gather at the Boone Moose Lodge, located at 607 Deerfield Road in Boone, beginning at 9 a.m. with the actual ride slated to start at 10:30 a.m. Besides riding the area and making a few stops along the way, there will be door prizes, food and plenty of fun finishing up at the Boone Lodge in the afternoon. All riders are welcome to join the fund raiser for $20 per single rider and $25 for double riders. In the event of rain, a rain date has been set for Saturday, July 30. The Loyal Order of Moose, Lodge 1805 in Boone, N.C., produces the ride.

“We always have a great time when we ride and encourage anyone who likes to ride motorcycles to join us. You don’t have to be a Moose member to be a part of this ride and help children in need,” said Ben York, Junior Governor of the Boone Moose Lodge and coordinator of the event. “This particular ride is an extension of the Moose Riders and Moose International effort to benefit the children at Mooseheart Child City and School. Mooseheart is a residential childcare facility, located on a 1,000-acre campus 38 miles west of Chicago supported by Moose International and its members. The Child City is a home for children and teens in need, from infancy through high school.”
