Senior Candace Flowers (Charlotte, N.C.) poured in a game-high 18 points off the bench, and the Lees-McRae College women’s basketball team outscored Virginia Intermont College by a 36-16 margin in the second half en route to a 69-42 victory in non-conference play on Tuesday evening in Williams Gymnasium.
Dec. 3, 2012. Amber Lau poured in 27 points in the first half to propel the Coker College women’s basketball team to a 63-29 halftime lead, and the Cobras held off a late rally by Lees-McRae College en route to a 77-58 victory in Conference Carolinas play on Saturday afternoon in Williams Gymnasium.
Aug. 30, 2012. Michele Williams has been named the new women’s basketball head coach at Lees-McRae College, announced Director of Athletics Craig McPhail Thursday. Prior to her appointment as the Tornado head coach, Williams served as the assistant coach at King for six years.

ASHEVILLE — A career-high 30 points from Maryah Sydnor helped Appalachian State women’s basketball knock off Chattanooga, 77-52, to advance to a second Southern Conference championship game in as many years. The Mountaineers (25-5) will face Samford on Monday at 5 p.m. for the league title.
