Tweetsie Railroad is now hiring for its 2014 season. Auditions for aspiring performers will be held Jan. 25 and 26 at Tweetsie Railroad Palace instead of I.G. Greer auditorium as originally advertised. Tweetsie will also be holding its annual job fair for non-entertainers on March 1 at the Palace Saloon on the park grounds.

June 5, 2013. Listen up, all you Dora and Diego fans: don’t miss the chance to meet Dora the Explorer™ and Go, Diego, Go!™ at Tweetsie Railroad on June 21-23, 2013. The Nickelodeon costumed characters will appear daily, and will be available to interact and take photos with fans at the park throughout the weekend.

April 24, 2013. Tweetsie Railroad – North Carolina’s first theme park – is proud to welcome Letterland© back to the park for its seventh consecutive season on May 8, 9, 15 and 16, 2013. Tweetsie is teaming up with the world renowned reading program on this fun, interactive educational event and to promote literacy efforts throughout the state.
March 27, 2013. Tweetsie Railroad is calling buckaroos young and old as the park opens for its 2013 season on Friday, April 12, 2013. North Carolina’s first theme park, nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains in Blowing Rock, will treat guests to Wild West family adventure this year through Sunday, November 3.
Aug. 17, 2012. The Blue Ridge Mountains will come alive this August with a unique blend of Western harmony and comedy at Tweetsie Railroad. Riders In The Sky, America’s Favorite Cowboys, will light up the stage at North Carolina’s first theme park August 18-19 to perform “The Cowboy Way.”
Aug. 15, 2012. Includes photo gallery! The Boone Area Chamber of Commerce held its 63nd annual meeting on Aug. 14 at a new venue, Tweetsie Railroad in Blowing Rock, and this year’s chamber awards were presented to local individuals as well as the Boone Town Council.

July 31, 2012. The 2012 Annual Meeting for Boone Chamber of Commerce Members is Tuesday, August 14 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Tweetsie Railroad. Admission is $15 in advance and $20 at the door. Dress up in casual western wear, enjoy a BBQ buffet and get on board the Chamber Awards Train for this chamber member business event.

June 26, 2012. Join Tweetsie Railroad in celebrating our nation’s independence during the annual July 4th Fireworks Extravaganza. Now in its 55th year, North Carolina’s first theme park will light up the High Country sky with spectacular bursts of pyrotechnics on Wednesday July 4, and guests can enjoy classic family fun and entertainment all day and evening long.
June 26, 2012. Can we build it? Yes we can! HIT Entertainment, a leading provider of quality children’s entertainment, and Tweetsie Railroad invite children to join the Can-Do Crew when Bob the Builder™ performs his 20-minute interactive Sing-Along Performance at Tweetsie Railroad July 13-15. The hard-hat wearing, hard-working builder will be singing, dancing and looking for aspiring builders at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.
June 19, 2012. Chief Redfeather, aka John Winkler, is a Native American of the Apache Tribe. Once a mighty warrior, Redfeather wears his war paint as a reminder of his former status. He’s usually seen in typical Apache attire and carries a peace pipe. The Chief finds himself on the list of suspects because he is a frequent guest at the annual Barn Party Barbeque. Could Chief Redfeather be mixed up in this untimely death?
June 12, 2012. Exotic Purdy Filly, played by Shelia Deal, is a popular dancer at Lucy Lipp’s saloon. With an updo, a beauty spot and her fishnets, she’s a dancer right down to her tap shoes. Purdy works long hours for Miss Lucy at the saloon. She’s not the brightest bulb on the tree, but could she be clever enough to have something to do with the death of Dray Duncan?
June 5, 2012. Sum Ting, aka Alex Hallmark, is a Chinese cook at the Double D Ranch. Sum Ting, a highly trained chef in his native country, has the unique style of wearing his hair in one long braid down his back together with a tight fitting black cap. He is never seen without his apron.
June 1, 2012. Includes photo gallery! Help Thomas the Tank Engine find the clues and solve the mystery! All little engineers and their families are invited to take a ride on Thomas and participate in fun Thomas-themed activities. The event, which takes place June 1-10, 2012, will be hosted by Tweetsie Railroad.

May 29, 2012. Phoebe Duncan, played by Rosanne Peacock, is the daughter of Dray Duncan. Phoebe was educated out east in one of those snobbish finishing schools. Phoebe tries to out dress, out class and one up everyone with her highfalutin’ ways. When her father’s lifeless body is found in the bunkhouse, everyone is a suspect, even Phoebe.
