Dec. 6, 2012. Watauga Humane Society’s annual Christmas Open House will be held Saturday, Dec. 8, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Irma Baker Lyons Adoption and Education Center. The staff continues the tradition of asking you to celebrate the season of sharing with them by bringing gifts for the animals.
Oct. 4, 2012. The International Center for Meditation and Well-Being (ICMWB) nearby Heavenly Mountain in Boone invites one and all to attend an open house on Saturday, Oct. 13, from 1-5 p.m. The event will feature light refreshments and tours of the campus and day spa amid breath-taking views of the mountains at the peak of the fall colors.
Aug. 16, 2012. Hospitality House invites the communities of its seven mountain county region to join them for dinner and open house on Thursday, Aug. 23 beginning at 5:30 p.m. Hospitality House resident chef Allison Jennings, along with the Unitarian Universalist Church will prepare a wholesome meal for residents and community members.
