Second Primary Election Draws 1.53 Percent Voter Turnout in Watauga County; 3.58 Percent Statewide

July 18, 2012. On Tuesday, July 17, Watauga County and state voters turned out -- albeit only a very small portion of them -- for the second primary election. In Watauga, only 1.53 percent of registered voters (600 out of 39,330) cast ballots, compared to 3.58 percent (220,635 out of 6,158,561) statewide. Read more...
