Captured: Escaped Inmate Who Killed Two on Yadkin Farm Found 10 Miles From Prison Farm in Open Garage

Sept. 27, 2012. Prison Emergency Response Team officers and Alcohol Law Enforcement agents captured escaped inmate James Ladd just before 11 a.m. today in Halifax County about ten miles from the prison farm where he escaped Sunday.

Sept. 24, 2012. A man convicted in 1981 in the shooting deaths of two men on a Yadkin County farm in 1980 escaped from the prison farm he was working at on Sunday morning and is still on the loose.
