Hospitality House to Hold 30th Anniversary Luncheon Aug. 22 to Honor Six Founding Churches

The Hospitality House Board of Directors and Hearts of Hospitality Ladies Auxiliary will be hosting the annual Hope Luncheon Aug. 22 at 11 a.m. Held for the third consecutive year at the picturesque Wats Gap Pavillion at Blue Ridge Mountain Club; this year’s luncheon, 30 Years of Hope, will celebrate thirty-years of Hospitality House providing a safety net for people in need while honoring the six founding churches for their leadership, vision and dedication.

Hospitality House Presents the Second Annual Struttin’ Our Stuff Fashion Show at the Meadowbrook Inn

The 2nd Annual Struttin’ Our Stuff Fashion Show, presented by Hospitality House, in conjunction with Goodwill Industries of Northwest North Carolina, will take place May 9 from 5:30 to 9 p.m. at the Meadowbrook Inn in Blowing Rock. A Week’s Worth of Celebrations Planned for Food Day

Hospitality House Among Award Winners Recognized as the Best of North Carolina’s Affordable Housing

Oct. 3, 2012. Five affordable housing developments received Housing North Carolina Awards on Sept. 27 and the Hospitality House in Boone was one of them. Sponsored by the N.C. Housing Finance Agency, the awards recognize outstanding affordable housing that can serve as models for other communities.

Hospitality House to Hold Seventh Annual Luncheon

This year’s theme, Fifty-Two Weeks of Hope, will celebrate the restored hope, realized dreams and bright futures of people being served year-round by the Hospitality House.

BIG Sale Raises $21,690.62 for Local Organizations

Aug. 21, 2012. The 12th annual BIG Sale at Appalachian State University diverted 72 tons of material from the landfill and raised $21,690.62 for local organizations through the sale of used goods Saturday, Aug. 18. The proceeds of Saturday’s sale will benefit two local organizations: The Children’s Playhouse and a partnership between Hospitality House and NC AIRE that provides energy efficiency mini-grants.

A record number of individuals, schools, businesses and churches came together to put Hospitality House over the top in food, funds and pledges.
