Hospitality House to Hold 30th Anniversary Luncheon Aug. 22 to Honor Six Founding Churches

The Hospitality House Board of Directors and Hearts of Hospitality Ladies Auxiliary will be hosting the annual Hope Luncheon Aug. 22 at 11 a.m. Held for the third consecutive year at the picturesque Wats Gap Pavillion at Blue Ridge Mountain Club; this year’s luncheon, 30 Years of Hope, will celebrate thirty-years of Hospitality House providing a safety net for people in need while honoring the six founding churches for their leadership, vision and dedication.

BIG Sale Raises $21,690.62 for Local Organizations

Aug. 21, 2012. The 12th annual BIG Sale at Appalachian State University diverted 72 tons of material from the landfill and raised $21,690.62 for local organizations through the sale of used goods Saturday, Aug. 18. The proceeds of Saturday’s sale will benefit two local organizations: The Children’s Playhouse and a partnership between Hospitality House and NC AIRE that provides energy efficiency mini-grants.
