Aug. 30, 2012. Lane closures will not take place in the U.S. 321 widening project work zone through Blowing Rock during Labor Day weekend. Construction crews may continue work during this time, but no lane closures will be allowed from Friday, Aug. 31, at 6 a.m. through Tuesday, Sept. 4, at 6 p.m.
Feb. 24, 2012. BLOWING ROCK — Construction crews continue to clear along U.S. 321 in Blowing Rock as part of the widening project. The majority of work is taking place along “Area I,” which is the U.S. 321 business corridor from the U.S. 321/North Main Street intersection at Shoppes on the Parkway to U.S. 321/South Main Street intersection at Broyhill Home Furnishings at 8486 Valley Boulevard. Some of this work may cause short travel delays.
Feb. 17, 2012. BLOWING ROCK — As the High Country readies itself for the spring and summer tourist seasons, residents and merchants in Blowing Rock are preparing for some frustrating days, as the Highway 321 widening project gets into full swing.
