Avery and Watauga County Schools Open Doors on 2012-13 School Year; Much to Chagrin of Area Children

Aug. 8, 2012. Watauga and Avery County Schools opened their doors to students for the 2012-2013 school year earlier this morning, but area students may be celebrating a later start to the school this time next year.
