The Town of Boone, the Downtown Boone Development Association the Watauga County Library and the Jones House Community Center are delighted to host the 14th annual Downtown Boone BOO! , a Halloween family friendly event on Friday, Oct. 31, from 4-6 p.m.
Dec 7, 2012. The Lees-McRae College softball team continues to be a positive influence in the local community this fall, expanding its outreach efforts several weeks ago by coordinating the Annual Healthy Halloween event, which was co-sponsored by the Avery County Smart Start and the Avery County Health Department.
Oct. 25, 2012. The upcoming weekend is the last chance to get lost in the five-acre, one-mile long New River Corn Maze, to ride the genuine tractor-pulled passenger train and to pick you very own pumpkin for Halloween.
Set on the banks of the South Fork of the New River, the corn maze is open this Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to dark and this Sunday from 1 p.m. to dark.
