Trout Fishing Tournaments in Blowing Rock, Vilas Kick Off Start of Season, Saturday, April 7
April 5, 2012. On Saturday, April 7, trout season will officially begin in the High Country. Two different trout tournaments will be held Saturday, one in Blowing Rock and one in Vilas, to kick off the start of the season.
