Blue Country and High Country Cloggers Perform “No Place Like Home” at Farthing Auditorium June 2

May 25, 2012. High Country Cloggers and Blue Country are performing live together for their end of year show Saturday, June 2, at 6:30 p.m. at Farthing Auditorium on the campus of Appalachian State University. Their show is called “No Place Like Home” and is sure to move you with folksy tunes and the warmth of a hoe-down. It’s tough to stay in your seat once the cloggers start their boot-stomping and shuffle-steppin’ so be prepared.

Catherine J. Smith Gallery at Appalachian State Presents Visiting Scholar Lecture by Stuart Horodner

April 2, 2012. Catherine J. Smith Gallery at Appalachian State University will present a visiting scholar lecture by Stuart Horodner, who will be speaking about his newly released book, “The Art Life: On Creativity and Career.” The talk will take place on Monday, April 2 at 6:30 p.m. in Belk Library and Information Commons, room 114 at ASU. The event is free and open to the public, and copies of Horodner’s book will be available for purchase at the lecture for $25.
