June 18, 2012. Appalachian State University’s Farthing Auditorium is set to begin a year-long renovation at the conclusion of this year’s summer concert series.

May 25, 2012. High Country Cloggers and Blue Country are performing live together for their end of year show Saturday, June 2, at 6:30 p.m. at Farthing Auditorium on the campus of Appalachian State University. Their show is called “No Place Like Home” and is sure to move you with folksy tunes and the warmth of a hoe-down. It’s tough to stay in your seat once the cloggers start their boot-stomping and shuffle-steppin’ so be prepared.
April 17, 2012. Includes performance lineup! On Friday, April 20, starting at 6:30 p.m., the Watauga Education Foundation will hold the 12th annual Shooting Stars talent show in Farthing Auditorium at Appalachian State University.

April 2, 2012. Catherine J. Smith Gallery at Appalachian State University will present a visiting scholar lecture by Stuart Horodner, who will be speaking about his newly released book, “The Art Life: On Creativity and Career.” The talk will take place on Monday, April 2 at 6:30 p.m. in Belk Library and Information Commons, room 114 at ASU. The event is free and open to the public, and copies of Horodner’s book will be available for purchase at the lecture for $25.
March 5, 2012. BOONE — On Tuesday, March 6, the Appalachian Popular Programing Society (APPS) hosts Dr. Jim Wand at Farthing Auditorium. Dr. Wand is a renowned hypnotist and his shows are known for incorporating comedy into the act as well. The show beings at 8 p.m. and there is no cost for admission.
