Aug. 3, 2012. “Fit to Kill” Runs Through This Sunday, and wow, the audience is loving this one. Maybe it’s because the show is not your typical theatre fare, especially for a resort-type area. It’s not some heart-warming or farce type comedy (though there is humor in it). It’s gritty and suspenseful with lots of twists and plenty of, “oh, my gosh! did that just happen?” moments.

Don’t Wait to See ‘Moon Over the Brewery’

June 21, 2012. What a difference a year makes. Last Summer’s opening production, “Catfish Moon,” averaged 27 patrons per performance. This year’s show, “Moon Over the Brewery,” sold out on opening night and again on Tuesday night. The Sunday afternoon crowd even came in at a respectable 60 percent capacity.

Moon Over The Brewery, which opens at the Blowing Rock Auditorium June 16, is a tender comedy that tells the story of extraordinarily intelligent and precocious 13-year-old Amanda as she navigates the dangerous territory of her mom’s budding romance.
