Arthel Lane "Doc" Watson
March 3, 1923 – May 29, 2012

Rest in peace, Doc.

He will be greatly missed by so many in his home of the High Country. Watson was "just one of the people." The beautiful flowers are just part of the testament people have shown towards him in his honor. Arthur Grimes, born and raised in Boone, grew up with someone he calls "his hero." Grimes tells stories about being on stage with him a couple of times and said that, "his presence made my life." Grimes says that he will buy a $100 brick at his feet just so he can remember, "the way his feet always tapped to the beat."
