June 4, 2012. CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. — The Appalachian State Mountaineers fell to Oklahoma twice in a doubleheader on Monday night and were eliminated from the NCAA Playoffs in regional play.

June 4, 2012. CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. — Appalachian State University baseball scored six runs in the first two innings then received clutch pitching and fielding performances the rest of the way to defeat top-seeded Virginia, 6-5, on Sunday.
June 2, 2012. The Appalachian State Mountaineers baseball team took game one from Oklahoma 5-4 on Saturday, June 2 in Charlottesville, Va. The win comes after a very strong pitching performance from Ryan Arrowood, going 7.2 innings with nine strikeouts and giving up only two hits. Infielder Trey Holmes also had a stellar performance, hitting on 3 of 4 plate appearances.

June 1, 2012. CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Due to a forecast that calls for severe thunderstorms and heavy rain late in the day on Friday for the Charlottesville area, game times have been moved up at the Charlottesville Regional of the 2012 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament.
May 29, 2012. On Wednesday, May 30, the Appalachian State baseball team will have a public sendoff at Smith Stadium from 12:45 to 1 p.m. as they board the bus to head to Charlottesville, Va. to begin NCAA Tournament play.

May 30, 2012. Includes video & photos! ASU’s baseball team had a warm sendoff today at Smith Stadium as they boarded the bus to the NCAA Tournament. For the first time in 26 years, The Mountaineers (39-16) have reached this postseason landmark, so these boys earned a little fan fare.
