Oct. 29, 2012. The High Country’s only children’s museum, The Children’s Playhouse located at 400 Tracy Circle in Boone, will celebrate its tenth birthday with a five day celebration running from Tuesday, Nov. 6 through Saturday, Nov. 10. The Playhouse 10th Birthday Bash will feature free admission, membership discounts, special activities.
Sept. 19, 2012. The Children’s Playhouse is hitting a big birthday this year: 10 years. Hooray for double digits. The Children’s Playhouse will do something sugary and fun with kids on the official date–Nov. 5, 2012–but they plan to jump the gun with something a little swanky for grown-ups on Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012.
Sept. 10, 2012. Funded by a generous “Greek Week Mini Grant” from Appalachian State University’s Fraternity and Sorority Life, the hand-built, green-roofed play cabin is a capstone on a two-year effort to create an enchanting and educational outdoor play space at the High Country’s only children’s museum.
