July 30, 2012. Law firms representing Boone Saloon and Char in a lawsuit against the Town of Boone regarding the noise ordinance filed a request for a temporary restraining order against the enforcement of the ordinance.

May 17, 2012. From April 7 to May 1, the Boone Police Department received 7 noise complaints, six of which originated at the Boone Saloon and one at Paolucci’s. Four of the past month’s complaints ended with no action taken by the Boone Police Department. On two of the seven complaints, the decibel-reading machines malfunctioned.

March 30, 2012. On Thursday, March 22, Boone Saloon and Char filed a civil complaint with the Watauga County Superior Court about changes to the noise ordinance that was put in place in February.
