Dec. 13, 2012. The Boone Area Chamber of Commerce is now accepting applications for the 2013 Watauga Leadership Challenge. This program provides a comprehensive overview of the community and introduces participants to leaders in the fields of government, education, health care and business and industry.

Sept. 27, 2012. The Boone Area Chamber of Commerce announced the 2012 winners of the Award of Merit for Development. The awards were presented during the Chamber’s Business After Hours hosted by The Saddle Club at Yonahlossee on Thursday, Sept. 27.

Aug. 9, 2012. The opening and dedication of Sky Valley Zip Tours was hosted by both the Boone Area and Blowing Rock Chambers of Commerce. The zip line is a welcomed addition to our outdoor attractions and a wonderful expansion of services at Sky Valley, including weddings, family reunions and other gatherings.
July 31, 2012. The 2012 Annual Meeting for Boone Chamber of Commerce Members is Tuesday, August 14 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Tweetsie Railroad. Admission is $15 in advance and $20 at the door. Dress up in casual western wear, enjoy a BBQ buffet and get on board the Chamber Awards Train for this chamber member business event.
June 7, 2012. Hold on to your horses. Boone Area Chamber of Commerce will be hosting their first ever Membership Event Parade through downtown Boone on June 11, at 10 a.m. Parade route is beginning at Horn in the West drive, through King St. ending down Water St.
