Stephenson Center at Lees-McRae College to Host an Illustrated Lecture by Dr. Scott Huffard Jan. 30

Beat the winter blues by coming out to enjoy the Stephenson Center for Appalachia's Lecture Series at Lees-McRae College. The lectures begin on Thursday, Jan. 30 at 7 p.m. in Evans Auditorium with an illustrated talk by Dr. Scott Huffard, "The 1891 Wreck at Bostian's Bridge and the Haunted History of Western North Carolina Railroad," and run through the middle of April. Tornados rally past Bobcats in second half, 63-57

Dec. 10, 2012. The Brevard College women's basketball team outscored Lees-McRae College by a 37-24 margin in the second half, overcoming a 33-26 halftime deficit en route to a 63-57 victory in non-conference play on Saturday afternoon in Williams Gymnasium. Brevard (3-5) won the battle on the glass by a 38-35 margin, including a 12-8 advantage on the offensive boards. Read more…

King and Lees-McRae to Battle for Blue Ridge Cup
