First ‘Family Fun Festival’ Benefit for Local After-School Programs at Watauga High School on Saturday April 12

The halls, gym and auditorium of Watauga High School will be filled on Saturday, April 12, not with students making up snow days, but instead with carnival games, popcorn, live music and an auction to support local after-school programs. The inaugural "Family Fun Festival" benefit for Watauga County Extended Learning Centers will be held Saturday, April 12 from 1-8 p.m., featuring entertainment and activities for all ages. Several Bands Perform for Crysel Family Benefit at Galileo’s Restaurant and Bar on Wednesday, April 18

April 16, 2012. Lucas Crysel, father of two toddlers, went to the hospital for a pain in his left shoulder/neck and thought he pulled a muscle. Turns out, x-rays of his shoulder and chest illuminated a very large tumor which collapsed his left lung; was pushing his heart over the middle of his chest; and was pressing on his spleen and diaphragm.
