The Town of Banner Elk, the Banner Elk Chamber of Commerce and Lowe’s Home Improvement have teamed up to paint and repair the band shelter in Tate-Evans Park. Lowe’s Home Improvement generously donated paint, caulking, siding and labor to help improve the band shelter. The shelter gets a lot of use each summer as hundreds of people come to see concerts in the park. It is also used throughout the year for town celebrations, Tai Chi classes and even Santa!
