Bentley Adds Burns to ASU Wrestling Staff
Aug. 15, 2012. Appalachian State University wrestling head coach JohnMark Bentley announced the hiring of assistant coach Daren Burns on Tuesday. After spending a year as an assistant coach at Youth Education & Sport in Greensboro, N.C., Burns served as a volunteer and then full-time assistant at his alma mater, UNC Greensboro.
Trotman Named SoCon Male Athlete of the Year
May 30, 2012. Appalachian State University wrestler Austin Trotman has been named the Southern Conference’s Bob Waters Male Athlete of the year, the conference announced on Tuesday at its spring meetings. Trotman will receive the award at the SoCon’s annual Honors Dinner on Wednesday.
