Watauga County Board of Education Holding Convocation Friday to Prep Employees for New Year

Aug. 1, 2012. Members of the Watauga County Board of Education will attend a convocation Friday morning in the Watauga High School auditorium to discuss loose plans, outline, hopes and goals for the upcoming school year. The meeting will also give new Superintendent David Kafitz the opportunity to introduce himself to school personnel he hasn’t had to chance to meet.

Watauga County Students Return to School Aug. 8

July 25, 2012. The first day of classes in the 2012-13 school year of the Watauga County Schools will be Wednesday, Aug. 8. School buses will run their usual routes, lunch will be served, and the after school program will be open to students registered for the program.
