The next App State football game takes place tomorrow evening – not this weekend.

The Appalachian State Mountaineers face Georgia Southern Eagles on Thursday night at Kidd Brewer Stadium in Boone. Kickoff starts at 7:30 p.m., and the game, pitting two titans of the Sun Belt Conference, airs on ESPNU.

Both the Mountaineers and the Eagles are 5-1 and both are undefeated in conference play; Georgia Southern has three conference wins to App State’s two in conference play. Whichever team wins will be the first Sun Belt team eligible for bowl play during the holiday season. FBS teams must win six games to be eligible to play in a bowl.

App State Chancellor Sheri Everts announced last week revisions to the paring plan for the two Thursday night football games at Kidd Brewer Stadium this season. Yosef Club lots open for tailgating at 3 p.m.

For those without a Yosef Club space, the old Watauga High School parking lot ($15) and the Watauga County Department of Human Services lot are available for tailgating and feature a shuttle to campus. You can also try to find a spot in a downtown Boone private lot. The Town of Boone will stop enforcing parking meters at 5 p.m. on Thursday.
