Sept. 5, 2013. Tickets are still available for Appalachian State Mountaineers football home opener against North Carolina A&T on Saturday, Sept. 7. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. at The Rock.
A fireworks display, which was initially set for mid-August but was postponed due to the weather, will conclude the game. Following the pyrotechnics, fans are encouraged to hand around and watch the postgame concerts by the North Carolina A&T and Appalachian State marching bands – the Blue & Gold Marching Machine and North Carolina’s Band of Distinction, respectively.
In addition to the fireworks and band performances, the newest class of Appalachian State Hall of Fame inductees will be honored during the game, including Mountaineer football stars Kevin Richardson and Jay Sutton.
Tickets can be purchased at appstatesports.com/tickets or at the Kidd Brewer Stadium ticket plaza on Saturday beginning at 2 p.m.
