Super Bowl 2015: Where Are You Headed to Watch the Seahawks v. Patriots Matchup on Sunday, Feb. 1?

Jan. 28, 2015. For many, it’s one of the most important days of the year. Super Bowl XLIX will see the New England Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks face off on Sunday, Feb. 1, in the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.

superbowlThousands of fans will attend the game, but thousands more will be there in spirit, cheering for their favorite team from the comfort of their favorite watering hole.

If you haven’t yet made plans for the biggest game in the entire professional football season, it’s not too late. Here is your chance to see what is going on in the High Country for the most important day of the year for die-hard football fans, so grab your friends, family and your lucky jersey and head on out for a night to remember.

The Rock

The Rock in Boone will be opening its doors at 5 p.m. on Super Bowl Sunday. They will be having a giveaway with more than 100 items, and each customer receives a raffle ticket on their way in. Drawings will begin at halftime. The Rock is currently taking reservations, and there are only a few tables left! For reservations, please call The Rock at 828-386-1723.

Town Tavern

Boone: The Boone Town Tavern will be showing the big game live on its many TVs all around the restaurant. In addition, specials will include $4 BLTs, $3.50 bloody Marys and $9 Miller and Bud Light buckets.

Blowing Rock: The Blowing Rock location of the Town Tavern will host a Super Bowl Party featuring lots of giveaways, raffles, prizes, drink specials and tons of fun!!

Cafe Portofino

Cafe Portofino will host a “Squares” game for Super Bowl Sunday. For every $15 patrons spend between now and Sunday, they will receive one square with a limit of five squares per person. Prizes will be awarded at the end of each quarter on Sunday, with prizes featuring a $50 gift certificate, a snowboard, a $100 gift certificate and the grand prize of a $25 tab per day for the rest of 2015. In addition, bar specials will include $2 Budweiser and Bud Light bottles. $3.50 house bloody Marys, $4.50 shots of Fireball and $1.50 “Fatty Nattys.” Small giveaways will also be held throughout the game.

Rivers Street Ale House

The Rivers Street Ale House will host a Super Bowl Party featuring giveaways, raffles and the big game playing on 20 televisions. A raffle will be held at halftime for party favors and prizes. Specials for the night include $2 Miller Light, $4 bloody Marys, $3 mimosas and $9 Miller Light buckets.

Murphy’s

Murphy’s Pub on King Street in Boone will be showing the big game on their TVs from start to finish.

Lost Province Brewing Company

Lost Province Brewing Company will be broadcasting the big game starting at 6:30 p.m. on the big screen. Special menu items will be available during the game. Super Bowl Sunday is also Lost Province Sunday, where residents of Watauga, Ashe, Avery and Alleghany counties receive 10 percent off of food with verification of residency.

Nick’s

Nick’s Restaurant in Banner Elk will feature Super Bowl raffles and drink specials. The Cheers of the High Country will have the game broadcast on the TVs, so come out early to grab a seat!
