Feb. 3, 2015. The Sugar Mountain Adult Race League (SMARL) completed its fifth week of the underground, beer-league races on Monday. Now, there is just one week left for the skiing and snowboard races.
Team Sugar remains atop in the skiing category with 100 points so far. Banner Elk Cafe and Ski Country A place second and third, respectively, with 98 and 89 points.
In the snowboard category, Sugar Ski School has expanded its lead with 42 points through five weeks. Edge of the World, in second place, has 37 points, and Modern Rustic has 33 points for third place.
