Nov. 21, 2014. Due a forecast for severe thunderstorms late in the day, Saturday’s football game between Appalachian State and UL Lafayette has been moved up three hours to 2 p.m. ET (1 p.m. CT), the schools and the Sun Belt Conference announced on Thursday afternoon.

The game will still be shown live on ESPN3. The Appalachian IMG Sports Network’s live radio coverage now starts at noon ET. New arrangements for the radio broadcast of Appalachian State’s men’s basketball game at Virginia Tech (1 p.m. ET) have not yet been finalized.

Ironically, the time change is Appalachian State’s second-straight for a game played in Louisiana. The last time the Mountaineers visited the Bayou State for their season opener at LSU in 2008, kickoff was moved from 4 p.m. to 10 a.m. CT due to the impending arrival of Hurricane Gustav.
