The old ski lifts at Sugar Mountain Resort are all sold out!

If you want a piece of Sugar Mountain Resort history – or want to refurbish an old ski lift chair into furniture or a piece of art – old Sugar Mountain Resort lift chairs are for sale.
This past summer, Sugar Mountain Resort installed the Summit Express, a six-seater, detachable, high-speed chairlift manufactured by the Austrian-based company Doppelmayr.
Sugar Mountain Resort spokesperson Kim Jochl said 79 chairs are available to purchase.
“The response has been very good,” Jochl said. “Around 2005 when we began upgrading and replacing lifts we began selling old chairs. Each lifts’ chairs have sold out over the years.”
The chairs are listed at $150.
