Pre-Game Events in Upstate South Carolina for App State v. Clemson Matchup on Saturday

A plethora of events await Mountaineer fans traveling to the South Carolina upstate for this weekend’s football game between Appalachian State and 12th-ranked Clemson.

FRIDAY NIGHT BLACK AND GOLD FAN GATHERING

All Black and Gold faithful are invited to a Friday night gathering at American Roadside in Greenville, S.C. (300 East McBee Ave.). The gathering runs from 6-9 p.m. and pre-registration is not necessary — all Mountaineer fans in the area are invited! Appalachian State athletics staff members will be on hand with plenty of giveaways for the Appalachian faithful on hand.

APPALACHIAN ALUMNI ASSOCIATION TAILGATE PARTY


A limited amount of tickets will be made available on-site Saturday morning for the Appalachian Alumni Association’s official pregame tailgate party. 

The Appalachian Alumni Association tailgate party is located in the air-conditioned Underground Recreation Center at Edgar Brown University Union, right across the street from Memorial Stadium, and runs from 8:30-11:30 a.m.

Remaining tickets will be sold on-site on a first-come, first-served basis. Cost at the gate is $50 for adults (includes unlimited food, non-alcoholic beverages and beer and wine) and $30 for youth (ages 12 and under — includes unlimited food and non-alcoholic beverages).

APP STATE BUS TRIP FROM BOONE, CHARLOTTE

A very limited number of seats also remain on the bus that will carry Mountaineer fans from Boone and Charlotte to Death Valley on Saturday.

The App State fan bus will depart from Boone (Kidd Brewer Stadium Lot) at 6:30 a.m. and pick up additional fans in Charlotte (Northlake Mall – AMC Theaters side) at 8:30 a.m. Upon arrival in Clemson, S.C., fans will be dropped off at the Appalachian Alumni Association tailgate party site (postgame pickup location TBA).

Remaining seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis and cost just $110 for adults and $90 for youth (ages 12 and under), which includes ground transportation and one of the few remaining tickets to Appalachian Alumni Association tailgate party.

Please note that travel packages do not include game tickets, which are officially sold out.

Appalachian State puts its seven-game winning streak on the line when it squares off with No. 12 Clemson on Saturday at 12:30 p.m.

For those not in attendance at Clemson’s Memorial Stadium, the game will be carried on ESPN3 (play-by-play: Joel Meyers; analyst: Tom O’Brien).
