Park Crew 101 Gives Young Shredders a Behind-the-Scenes Look at Beech Mountain’s Terrain Park Feb. 26 and Mar. 12

By Bailey Faulkner

Calling all young shredders in the High Country! Beech Mountain Resort will host exciting day camp Park Crew 101 on Sunday, February 26 and Sunday, March 12. The camp is a “unique opportunity for kids to get a behind-the-scenes look at the terrain park and ride with the Beech Mountain Park Crew.”

Park Crew 101

Park Crew 101 will give campers the inside scoop on how Beech Mountain Resort builds and maintains its terrain park. Campers will learn how to build and maintain many of the various features in the terrain park and will receive instruction on terrain park etiquette and riding skills.

“We hope to create and foster a positive relationship between park employees and campers that is different than anywhere else,” Park Crew 101’s mission statement reads. “We hope to create future park crew members as well as resort ambassadors to keep Beech Mountain’s Terrain Park in great shape and of course a great place to ride with friends!”

The all-inclusive day camp offers riding time and instruction, terrain park construction 101, breakfast, lunch, contests, awards, prizes from Beech Mountain’s sponsors and much more.

Park Crew 101 will take place on February 26 and March 12. Campers must be able to ride Beech’s entire mountain and feel comfortable safely navigating the resort’s terrain park. Confident and experienced campers must bring their own helmets.

The day camp costs $125 per day. If you want to sign up or learn more about the camp and Beech Mountain Resort, click here. You can also contact Beech Mountain by emailing info@skibeech.com.
