North Carolina Gold Cards Poised To Sell Out, Unlimited Riding at Six NC Ski Resorts for $800

Nov. 25, 2013. With two North Carolina ski areas already up and running and several others scheduled to open within days North Carolina’s winter sports centers are solidly underway. That could mean a sell-out season for the North Carolina Ski Areas Association’s Gold Card.

gold cardThe Gold Card assures unlimited skiing and riding at each of the six North Carolina Resorts throughout the winter season regardless of holiday or weekend rates. Unrestricted slope access to Sapphire Valley Ski Area, Beech Mountain Resort, Cataloochee Ski Area, Appalachian Ski Mtn., Wolf Ridge Ski Resort and Sugar Mountain Resort is guaranteed.

Each of the state’s winter recreation centers is located in the western portion of North Carolina along the Appalachian Mountain range. Peak elevations are as high as 5,500 feet with impressive vertical’s of 1,200 feet. You won’t find a North Carolina Resort’s base under 3,600 feet. Natural snowfall is often over 100 inches per year and winter season’s can begin in early November and end in late March.

Twenty-eight Cards are still available. Typically, Gold Cards sell out by mid-December. But, when winter comes early, passes can sell out by Thanksgiving.
