Apparently some Appalachian State fans have struck a nerve with the Miami Hurricanes base and Florida-based football writers. Because Twitter is fun and in light of the game only a sunrise away, here are some of the provocative tweets causing responses like this:
“These mountain folk have been sipping a little too much moonshine and got cocky on Twitter. Let’s humble the App State faithful … We got this. 28-10,” State of the U’s Blaine Bradley said in the site’s Week 3 picks post.
Plus, I’ll add some tweets from Miami fans. Enjoy.
The first section is mostly tweets State of the U referenced.
FYI: These are some of the clean tweets. If you branch out a bit, it’s certainly more interesting, and since tailgating starts early, the best – and worst – is probably yet to come.
It’s Miami week!!! Miami actually thinks they have a chance to win this game ???

The fact that AppSt can even dream of using SPEED to beat Miami is a further indictment of the Golden regime https://t.co/8CJTOoaPcu

Since beating Michigan in 2007, Appalachian State has played LSU, UF, VT, UGA, Michigan and Clemson. Average score 49-11.
