July 10, 2012. Lonnie Webster, Blowing Rock resident and member of the North Carolina Professional Photographers and The National Press Photographers Association, has been photographing the “Blood Sweat and Gears” bicycle ride for the past five years. His photograph of the BSG riders coming under the Blue Ridge Parkway underpass is currently being used on the official “Blood Sweat and Gears” website, www.bloodsweatandgears.org.
“I try to capture them at a significant landmark in the Blue Ridge Mountains,” Webster said.
Webster photographs the “Blood Sweat and Gears” Riders at a local landmark each year. In past years he has photographed riders by the Eastern Continual Divide sign in Blowing Rock NC, the sign for The Blowing Rock, and by Grandfather Mountain and Snake Mountain.

“I believe that passion should be coupled with education to produce the finest quality photograph for my clients, my work has been published in numerous publications both on the local and national level,” Webster is quoted as saying on his website.
Webster is available for hire destination publications, weddings, senior photographs, and family portraits. He resides in Blowing Rock with his wife Ada.
