Aug. 29, 2014. Appalachian State University football begins a new era at The Big House, the site of the most notable upset in college football history, when it opens the 2014 campaign against the Michigan Wolverines, the nation’s all-time winningest program.
Kickoff is noon on Saturday, Aug. 30, at Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor, Mich.
TV: Game on ESPN 2
Saturday’s game will be televised nationally on ESPN2 (Beth Mowins – play-by-play; Joey Galloway – analyst; Paul Carcaterra – sideline reporter). The game can also be watched online and on mobile devices on WatchESPN.
Your favorite bar or restaurant in Boone will have the game on.

Viewing Parties in High Country
Powder Horn Mountain at the Powder Horn Clubhouse: The community is celebrating the purchase of a new, 70-inch TV with for the clubhouse and there will be food and snacks served for $10. They will also be having David Coulson give a talk on what it was like to be at the 2007 game. A showing of a couple of the App-Michigan documentaries before the game. Coulson will also be doing a book signing there for Magic on the Mountain.
