LawnStarter.com named Kidd Brewer Stadium as one of the top 10 college football stadiums in NCAA Division 1 FBS. Stadiums located in the mountains dominated the list.
University of Colorado’s Folsom Field in Boulder, Colo., topped the list with a backdrop of the Rocky Mountains; Folsom field is located at an elevation of 5,400 feet. Lavell Edwards Stadium in Provo, Utah, home to Brigham Young University, came in No. 2; the Wasatch Range looms over Lavell Edwards Stadium.
App State’s home, The Rock, wrapped up the Top 10. Nestled in the downtown Boone valley and with a view of Howard’s Knob, Kidd Brewer Stadium is worthy of this list.
According to a release announcing the list, LawnStarter.com reviewed “dozens upon dozens of photos of the nearly 130 stadiums” across the country.
“A stadium scored points for its natural beauty — mountains, trees and so forth. We settled on only those stadiums where fans actually can enjoy good scenic views from their seats,” Lawnstarter.com noted. “The top six stadiums in our ranking boast mountain views. (Hey, what can we say? We’re smitten by mountains.) Don’t fret, though — non-mountainous stadiums made the cut, too. Here’s our list of the 16 college football stadiums with the nicest natural scenery.
