Aug. 8, 2013. Former Appalachian State University football All-Americans Jabari Fletcher  and Mark LeGree have agreed to terms with the Dallas Cowboys and Buffalo Bills, respectively. The addition of Fletcher and LeGree ups the total number of former Mountaineers on National Football League rosters to 14.

Fletcher amassed 22 sacks and 44 tackles for loss as a defensive end at Appalachian State from 2007-10, making him one of only seven players in school history with 20 sacks and 40 tackles for loss in his career. He was a first-team Associated Press All-American as a senior in 2010 and a three-time first-team all-Southern Conference honoree. He spent the past two seasons in the Arena Football League and racked up six sacks, 6.5 tackles for loss, an interception, two fumble recoveries and three pass break-ups for the San Jose SaberCats this summer. He previously spent time with the AFL’s Arizona Rattlers and Jacksonville Sharks in 2012 and the NFL’s Cleveland Browns in 2011.

LeGree was a three-time consensus first-team All-American at Appalachian State from 2007-10, joining three-time NFL Pro Bowler Dexter Coakley as the only three-time consensus first-team All-Americans in program history. The safety finished his collegiate career with 22 interceptions, good for second in Southern Conference history and third in Appalachian’s all-time annals. He set a school record and led NCAA Division I FCS with 10 interceptions as a sophomore in 2008. LeGree was selected in the fifth round of the 2011 NFL Draft by the Seattle Seahawks and has spent time with the Seahawks, Arizona Cardinals, San Francisco 49ers, New York Jets, Chicago Bears and Atlanta Falcons and as a pro.

In addition to Fletcher and LeGree, former Appalachian State standouts Travaris Cadet (New Orleans Saints),Armanti Edwards (Carolina Panthers), Jason Hunter (Oakland Raiders), Daniel Kilgore (San Francisco 49ers),Jeremy Kimbrough (Washington Redskins), Sam Martin (Detroit Lions), Demetrius McCray (Jacksonville Jaguars), Steven Miller (Detroit Lions), DeAndre Presley (Miami Dolphins), Brian Quick (St. Louis Rams), Troy Sanders (Atlanta Falcons) and D.J. Smith (San Diego Chargers) are currently on NFL rosters. Eight former Mountaineers were on active 53-man NFL rosters during the 2012 season, which tied the school record originally set in 1987.
