Calling all tennis enthusiasts! Ever wanted to play on the beautifully maintained courts at the private, gated community of Hound Ears? Here’s your chance.
Known for its top-ranked golf course and breathtaking grounds, the club is now launching an awesome new “30-60 membership initiative,” encouraging local families and residents to join and take advantage of its expansive new amenities. That campaign includes enhanced associate tennis memberships, which offer affordable access to tennis facilities and events for the general public.
Interested? Players can choose an annual tennis membership at $600 per individual or $900 for the whole family and can play throughout the year at Hound Ears. If you’re only in town for the summer, you might be interested in a two-month membership–choose the two months of the year you’d like to play and pay just $300 per person or $450 for the family.
Enhanced tennis memberships include access to tennis courts, clinics, tennis social events, the Tea House snack bar on the golf course, participation in invitational tournaments and lessons.
“It’s a very positive thing for people who are into not only the athletic aspect of tennis but also the social aspect,” Jason Reagan, director of communications and membership relations at the club. “Our members have a real sense of being social and trying to make everyone feel welcome and included in the tennis community. Another great reason to join is our very well-trained staff and our tennis director, Colin Crothers, who is also the women’s tennis coach at Appalachian State.”
The Hound Ears tennis courts are tucked quietly in a tranquil area of the property beside the club, nestled into the woods and hills, making for a beautiful playing experience.
Reagan noted that the courts often play host to tennis exhibitions from Crothers’ team at ASU.
These enhanced associate tennis offerings are only part of the greater membership initiative happening at Hound Ears this season, which encourages prospective members to join and enjoy the brand new expanded amenities, which include a dog park, a fly fishing park and 2.5 miles of hiking trails, as well as family-oriented programs and events throughout the year.
The “30-60” campaign offers equity memberships at a 30 percent discount throughout the year that are payable over 60 months.
