June 1, 2012. CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Due to a forecast that calls for severe thunderstorms and heavy rain late in the day on Friday for the Charlottesville area, game times have been moved up at the Charlottesville Regional of the 2012 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament.

Appalachian State University baseball, which was schedule to play at 8 p.m., will now play much earlier in the day in an attempt to get both contests finished before rain rolls in.

Friday’s first contest between No. 1 seed and host Virginia and No. 4 seeded Army will begin at 11 a.m. at Davenport field while the second game between No. 2 Oklahoma and No. 3 Appalachian State will start approximately 50 minutes after the conclusion of game one.

Mountaineer fans can catch all the action live on the Appalachian IMG Sports Network as David Jackson and Jim Morris will have the call from Davenport Field.

Ryan Arrowood (10-0) will take the mound for the Apps (39-16) while the Sooners (38-22) will counter with Jordan John (8-6).
