Tickets Still Available for Homecoming Game Against Liberty Set for Saturday, Parade Starts at 10:30 A.M.

Oct. 8, 2014. It’s homecoming week at Appalachian State University and highlighting a weekend full of events for students and alumni is Saturday’s football game versus Liberty. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. at Kidd Brewer Stadium.

Some tickets still remain for the homecoming tilt between the Mountaineers and Flames. Tickets can be purchased online by clicking HERE, by phone at (828) 262-2079 or in person at the Appalachian State athletics ticket office, located in the Holmes Center. Tickets are available online 24 hours a day, seven days a week while phone and in-person sales are available Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. If any tickets still remain, the Kidd Brewer Stadium ticket plaza opens on Saturday at 11:30 a.m.

HOMECOMING PARADE SET FOR SATURDAY MORNING: Another highlight of Appalachian State’s annual homecoming festivities is the homecoming parade, which begins on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. Several Mountaineer teams and the Appalachian State Marching Band are among the many groups scheduled to participate in the parade.

Due to the parade, the following streets will be closed to all traffic from 10:15 a.m. until approximately 11:30 a.m. on Saturday:

• Rivers Street from Stadium Drive west to Water Street
• Water Street from Rivers Street to King Street
• King Street from Water Street to College Street

Additionally, the Raley Lot will be closed to all tailgating activities until 11:15 a.m. while the Duncan and Music Lots will be closed from 10:15-11:15 a.m.

KICKOFF, TV SET FOR TROY: Appalachian State’s Oct. 18 Sun Belt Conference contest at Troy will kick off at 3 p.m. ET and be carried live on ESPN3, the Sun Belt and ESPN announced on Monday.

ESPN3, ESPN’s online platform, is available in approximately 85 million homes nationwide as well as to 21 million U.S. college students and U.S.-based military personnel. ESPN3 is also available through Xbox LIVE and on smartphones, tablets and Apple TV via the WatchESPN app. Check with your internet or mobile service provider to see if you receive ESPN3 programming.

A kickoff time and television arrangements for Appalachian’s Nov. 1 Family Weekend home game versus Georgia State will be announced no later than Monday, Oct. 20, per the Sun Belt’s contractual agreement with ESPN.
