An all-star lineup of App State sports legends will be recognized at this year’s Hall of Fame breakfast, which will precede the Sept. 5 season opener home game on Sept. 5. Due to an overwhelming number of ticket sales, the event will be held this year at the Holmes Convocation Center.
During halftime of the season opener, in which the Mountaineers will take on the Bisons of Howard University, the following will be inducted into the ASU athletics Hall of Fame: football coach Jerry Moore, women’s cross country/track and field standout Leigh Cooper Wallace and football stars Armanti Edwards, Chip Hooks and Daniel Wilcox.
The annual breakfast, which was scheduled to take place in the Blue Ridge Ballroom of the Plemmons Student Union, sold out quickly. To accommodate more guests, the event has been moved to the Holmes Center on campus.
If you want to join the fun and honor these legendary leaders in Appalachian sports, tickets for the breakfast are still on sale for $25 each. Call Yosef Club Donor Relations Coordinator Natalie Harkey at 828-262-3108 to get your tickets.
The breakfast will serve as a great way to start the day for alumni, sports fans and Yosef Club members planning to attend the Howard game later that day. Kick-off is set for 3:30 p.m. at Kidd Brewer Stadium.
