The Appalachian State University Men’s Basketball Team Announces Five Confirmed Televised Dates

Oct. 3, 2013. Appalachian State University men’s basketball will appear in televised contests at least five times this year, it was confirmed on Thursday afternoon. The televised slate includes three road contests, one home game and the Southern Conference Tournament. 

The Mountaineers season-opening contest at NC State will be available around the world via ESPN3 while the Nov. 16 contest at Cincinnati can be seen regionally on Fox Sports Ohio and will also be broadcast on ESPN3.

imgres-1In addition, Appalachian’s Nov. 29 game at Georgia can be seen on Comcast Sports Southeast while the Feb. 15 home game against Wofford can be seen on the SoCon Sports Network via ESPN3. The ESPN Family of Networks will also televise the 2014 SoCon Tournament with the first two rounds on ESPN3, the semifinals on CSS/ESPN3 and the championship game on ESPN2.

Any additional televised games will be announced once details have been finalized. In addition to the announcement of the televised games, the Mountaineers also announced game times for six road contests that had previously been listed as “TBA”.

The season opener at NC State will tip-off at 7 p.m. while the Nov. 16 game at Cincinnati is slated for a 2 p.m. start time. Appalachian State and Georgia will tip-off at 5:30 p.m. on Nov. 29, the Dec. 18 game at Presbyterian will begin at 7 p.m.

The Jan. 11 game at Davidson is set to begin at 7 p.m. while the Jan. 23 game at The Citadel is slated for a 7 p.m. tip-off. Appalachian’s Dec. 8 home game against Charlotte and the Feb. 8 contest at Western Carolina are the only remaining “TBA” games.
