The annual Meltdown Games at Appalachian Ski Mountain is just around the corner.
On March 28 and 29, skiers and snowboarders will participate in an array of competitive “beach themed” events to celebrate the end of Appalachian Ski Mountain’s 53rd ski season. In conjunction with the Meltdown Games, Neff’s Annual Beach Bash will take over on Sunday, March 29th, offering $5oo in prize money and lots of Neff prizes as part of the snowboard contest and beach themed party.
“This Meltdown Games is shaping up to be great, we still have plenty of base depth and looks like some colder weather coming to possibly allow snowmaking for the weekend. Looking forward to the Easter Benefit Weekend as well!” Drew Stanley, marketing director for ASM, said.
The 2015 list of events are highlighted by the Ski and Snowboard Big Air Contest (Saturday @ 1:30 p.m.), the Trashbag Downhill Race (Saturday @ 5:00 p.m.), and the Pond Skim and Costume Contest (Sunday @ 2 p.m.) with many other events taking place as well. Meltdown Games 2015 will be a memorable event for both the skilled and unskilled competitor alike, and is sure to offer plenty of entertainment for spectators.
Entry to participate in any of the events is free with purchase of a ski ticket. Come out and be a part of a truly unique weekend at Appalachian Ski Mountain that you won’t see any other time of year and remember, “winter isn’t over until [ASM] say it is.”
