Oct. 15, 2013. October is halfway through, and that means wintertime is swiftly on its heels! Alpine Ski Shop at Appalachian Ski Mtn welcomes the winter weather with Alpine Ski Shop’s 16th Annual Tent Sale, Ski and Snowboard Swap and Raffle, scheduled for ten full days of fun from Oct. 18-27.
“This sale is a great kick-off to the season,” said Brenda Speckmann of Appalachian Ski Mtn.
“It really gets people in the mood for winter and ski season.”
The tent sale includes ridiculously low prices on all of last year’s merchandise at the ski and snowboard shop, including ski and snowboard clothing, ski and snowboard equipment, helmets, gloves goggles and all the accessories you need for a day on the slopes, all for up to 70 percent off of the original prices.
With name brands like Burton, Special Blend, 686, Foursquare, Mountain Hardwear, Spyder, Obermeyer, Nordica, Roxy, Salomon, K2, Atomic, Rossignol, Volcom, Never Summer, Ride, 4Frnt, Line, Northwave, Gnu, Libtech, and more the annual tent sale will have something for every winter adventurer.
The tent sale is so big, that it can’t even be contained by a tent anymore. These days, the sale takes up the entire lobby at the base lodge for ten whole days.
In addition to the tent sale, the event also includes a raffle for a 2013-14 season membership. Raffle slips will be given out to customers after they make their purchases every day. At the end of the last day, a winner will be chosen and notified.
Do you have a bunch of gently used equipment that you don’t use anymore? Bring it to the ski and snowboard gear swap taking place at the same time.
“People bring in used ski and snowboard equipment, we help them price it, and whatever sells of their equipment, then they receive a credit to use in the shop,” said Speckmann.
Hours for this huge sale are Friday, Oct. 18 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturdays from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m., Sundays 1 p.m. – 5 p.m. and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
