Every fan that attended Appalachian State University football’s rain-soaked 31-13 homecoming football win over Wyoming will receive an email this week with a voucher for $10 off a ticket for any remaining home football game this season or any men’s or women’s basketball home game during the 2015-16 season.
Appalachian State’s athletics ticket office is in the process of sending emails to all fans that were in attendance for Saturday’s game as determined through scanned and torn tickets at the Kidd Brewer Stadium gates. Any fan that was at The Rock on Saturday and does not receive the voucher via email by the end of business on Wednesday, Oct. 7 should call the athletics ticket office at (828) 262-2079.
Reserved seats are still available for Appalachian’s four Sun Belt Conference home football games, including the nationally televised showdown versus archrival Georgia Southern on Oct. 22. Tickets can be purchased online at appstatesports.com/tickets, by phone at (828) 262-2079 or in person at the Appalachian State athletics ticket office, located at the Holmes Center.
FANS INVITED ON THE FIELD FOLLOWING TROY GAME: Following up on the success of Saturday’s postgame celebration after the win over Wyoming, Appalachian State athletics will once again invite fans to join the Mountaineers on the field following their Oct. 31 home game versus Troy.
Like Saturday, fans will be invited to access field level via the gate at the northwest corner of the field (closest to Owens Field House and the Appalachian sideline) immediately following the conclusion of the game. In honor of Appalachian State’s Year of the Fan, fans can greet their favorite Mountaineer student-athletes and coaches and remain on the field until the conclusion of the Marching Mountaineers’ postgame performance.
SUN BELT OPENER AT GEORGIA STATE TO AIR LIVE ON ESPN3: As announced last week, this Saturday’s Sun Belt Conference opener at Georgia State will be shown live nationwide on ESPN3. Matt Stewart (play-by-play) and Wayne Gandy (analyst) will call the action for the 3:30 p.m. contest at the Georgia Dome.
Radio coverage on the Appalachian IMG Sports Network begins at 1:30 p.m. and can be heard on 17 network affiliates across North Carolina, including 100,000-watt flagship station 97.3-FM WKBC (North Wilkesboro, Charlotte, Hickory, High Country).
