App State Finalizes 2014 Football Gameday Promotions

stripepage2July 25, 2014. Appalachian State University athletics has finalized its 2014 football gameday promotions, director of promotions and fan engagement Ashley Payne announced on Friday.

In addition to the previously announced Homecoming (Oct. 11 vs. Liberty), Family Weekend (Nov. 1 vs. Georgia State) and Black Saturday (Nov. 8 vs. Louisiana-Monroe) contests, theSept. 6 home opener vs. Campbell is Heroes Day and Hall of Fame Day, the Mountaineers’ first-ever Sun Belt home game vs. South Alabama on Oct. 4 is Stripe The Stadium Day andNov. 29 vs. Idaho is Fan Appreciation Day and Senior Day.

Appalachian State athletics will honor and recognize all U.S. military personnel and veterans and local first responders for their dedication and everything they do to keep our country and community safe and secure. Additionally, Appalachian State athletics’ 2014 Hall of Fame inductees will be honored at halftime.

In the inaugural Sun Belt Conference game at Kidd Brewer Stadium, all fans are asked to help “Stripe The Stadium” to display the dedication of App Nation. Non-student fans are asked to wear the color indicated for the appropriate seating section in the attached chart. App State students are asked to wear WHITE — the first 4,000 students in attendance will receive a FREE commemorative white t-shirt.

For the final home game of the 2014 season, Appalachian State athletics honors its loyal fans and the senior football student-athletes that have represented the University so well on and off the field.

Single-game tickets go on sale Tuesday, Aug. 5. Single-game tickets are expected to go fast so to assure you aren’t shut out of the pageantry of gameday at The Rock — particularly for high-demand games like the Oct. 4 Sun Belt home opener vs. South Alabama, Oct. 11 homecoming contest vs. Liberty and Nov. 8 Black Saturday battle with Louisiana-Monroe — purchase full, half or flex season ticket packages, which are on sale NOW at appstatesports.com/tickets.

Aside from the Sept. 6 home opener vs. Campbell (6 p.m.), kickoff times for Appalachian State’s remaining home games will be announced 12 days prior to gameday, per the Sun Belt Conference’s television agreement with ESPN.
