App State Athletics to Host Kickoff Luncheon on Sept. 4 to Celebrate Upcoming Season

With just 10 days remaining until Appalachian State University football’s highly anticipated 2015 season kicks off versus Howard on Sept. 5 at Kidd Brewer Stadium, Appalachian State athletics will share one new or updated aspect of the one-of-a-kind football experience at The Rock each day until the campaign begins.url

The Kickoff Countdown begins with Wednesday’s announcement that Appalachian State will host its first-ever Kickoff Luncheon on Friday, Sept. 4. The event begins at 11:45 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 4 on the Club Level (fifth floor) of the Appalachian Athletics Center.

Tickets for the inaugural Kickoff Luncheon cost just $20 for a buffet lunch and program hosted by the “Voice of the Mountaineers” David Jackson. Head coach Scott Satterfield and a selected Mountaineer student-athlete will also be in attendance to share their thoughts about the upcoming season, provide a scouting report about the very talented Howard Bison and answer questions from the crowd.

Space for this special event is very limited. To reserve a seat while space remains, call the Appalachian State athletics ticket office at (828) 262-2079 between 9 a.m.-4 p.m., Monday-Friday.

Tickets for the 2015 opener versus Howard still remain and can be purchased online at appstatesports.com/tickets, by phone at (828) 262-2079 or in person at the Appalachian State athletics ticket office, located at the Holmes Center. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. on Sept. 5 at Kidd Brewer Stadium.

A limited number of Hall of Fame Packs, which include four tickets for just $79, went on sale Wednesday in honor of Appalachian State athletics’ star-studded 2015 Hall of Fame class, which will be inducted as part of the season-opening festivities and be recognized during the game. The 2015 Appalachian Athletics Hall of Fame class includes legendary coach Jerry Moore, football stars Armanti Edwards, Chip Hooks and Daniel Wilcox and cross country/track and field standout Leigh Cooper Wallace.
