A Letter of Thanks from the Captains of the ASU Football Team to All the Fans Who Make Up App Nation

Fellow Appalachian State Students,

On behalf of the Appalachian Football program’s players and coaches, we’d like to offer our most sincere thanks to you for your support during Saturday night’s win over Montana at The Rock.

You have no idea how much of a boost it is for us as players to see the student section packed when we take the field for pregame warmups, to feel the stadium rocking from your noise during the game and to celebrate with you after a big win. Quite simply, the energy that you provide as the heart and soul of App Nation gives us the best home-field advantage in all of college football and we can’t express enough how much it means to us.

We have another big game this Saturday when we open Southern Conference play against The Citadel – a team that just beat preseason SoCon favorite and No. 3-ranked Georgia Southern and is now nationally ranked for the first time in four years. We need App Nation to bring the energy again as we try to take the first step in bringing back the SoCon title to where it belongs – right here in Boone!

Thanks again for the support! Can’t wait to see you at The Rock on Saturday!

Sincerely,

2012 Appalachian State Football Captains
