Nov. 24, 2012. Appalachian Ski Mtn. was busy making snow Saturday morning as temperatures finally reached a level where sustained snowmaking should pay off in an opening day for the ski slope sometime next week.
Appalachian Ski Mtn.’s website site says so much depends on how the forecast plays out, a potential “best case” opening day would be Friday Nov. 30, or Saturday, Dec. 1.
This is Appalachian’s 50th Anniversary Weekend, and the special 1962 lift ticket price ($5) will be offered to all of their guests if open, both Saturday Dec. 1 and Sunday, Dec. 2.
