Appalachian State University football’s Raycom Media Camellia Bowl championship will be honored as a part of Saturday’s Blowing Rock WinterFest parade. The parade begins at 3 p.m. in downtown Blowing Rock.

With the Camellia Bowl championship trophy in tow, Chancellor Dr. Sheri N. Everts, director of athletics Doug Gillin, head coach Scott Satterfield and the majority of the Mountaineers’ 2015 football squad are among those that will represent Appalachian State in the WinterFest parade.

The procession route begins at the Blowing Rock pool on Clark Street, turns right on to US 221, right on Main Street and ends at the Blowing Rock Art and History museum at the corner of Main and Chestnut Streets.

Saturday’s Blowing Rock WinterFest parade is one of two public events scheduled to celebrate the Mountaineers’ historic 11-2 season and thrilling 31-29 Camellia Bowl victory over Ohio. The official Camellia Bowl championship celebration is set for Saturday, Feb. 20 in conjunction with Appalachian State’s basketball doubleheader versus Troy at the Holmes Center.
